HEALTHCARE
Health care or healthcare is the maintenance or improvement of health via the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease illnes, injury, and other physical and mental inpairments in human beings.
Access to healthcare may vary across countries, groups, and individuals,
largely influenced by social and economic conditions as well as the health polices
in place. Countries and jurisdictions have different policies and plans
in relation to the personal and population-based health care goals
within their societies. Healthcare systems are organizations established to meet the health needs of target population.
there is 4 types of cares:
PRIMARY CARE:
Primary care refers to the work of health proffessionals who act as a first point of consultation for all patients within the health care system.
SECONDARY CARE:
Secondary care includes acute care:
necessary treatment for a short period of time for a brief but serious
illness, injury or other health condition, such as in a Hospital Emergency Department. It also includes skilled attendance during childbirth, intensive care, and medical services
The term "secondary care" is sometimes used synnymously with "hospital care"
TERTIARY CARE:
CUATERNARY CARE:
The term quaternary care is sometimes used as an extension of tertiary care in reference to advanced levels of medicine which are highly specialized and not widely accessed.
INFECTIOUS DISEASES:
HOW TO AVOID INFECTIOUS DISEASES
When you cough or sneeze, you send tiny germ-filled droplets into the air. Colds and flu usually spread that way. You can help stop the spread of germs by
Covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough. Sneeze or cough into your elbow, not your hands
Cleaning your hands often - always before you eat or prepare food, and after you use the bathroom or change a diaper
Avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth
Hand washing is one of the most effective and most overlooked ways to stop disease. Soap and water work well to kill germs. Wash for at least 20 seconds and rub your hands briskly. Disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers also work well.
